Geoff Boucher of the LA Times Hero Complex blog calls Sucker Punch “one of the most audacious films of 2011.” I think he might be right. Stop what you’re doing and watch this.
Brought to us by Zack Snyder, director of Watchmen and 300, the film surrounds the mental war waged in Babydoll’s (Emily Browning) mind against the mental institution to which she’s been committed. Presumably, her fellow locked-up ladies join her in an imaginative struggle that seems to span all manner of time and environment. Can’t wait for this one.
