First Look at Resident Evil: Afterlife

The Resident Evil series (along with Fast & Furious) is complete cinematic junk-food for me, but I’ve missed all news surrounding the fourth installment. It seems Resident Evil: Afterlife has wrapped already, and Myspace — who uses Myspace anymore? — debuted a batch of photos from the new film, which brings back Milla Jovovich as Alice and Ali Larter (from “Heroes”) as her smokey sidekick Claire Redfield.

Widespread rumors and general sentiment lead most to believe 2007′s Extinction — a pretty lame movie, by the way — was the last in the Resident Evil series, particularly since Jovovich was bullish on returning for any follow-on films. But like the undead that saturates the stories, it looks like the franchise just won’t lie down.

These photos don’t tell us much, except maybe Jovovich really means business this time around with the new sassy haircut. Myspace apparently will debut the trailer for Afterlife come this Saturday.
