The very first photo of Jackie Earle Haley as Freddy Krueger in the forthcoming “A Nightmare on Elm Street” remake has emerged out the darkness and onto MySpace. Really? MySpace?

There’s not a lot to make out, but it is exciting to get a small taste for the film. While remakes in general are usually laded with lameness, I’m a huge fan of Haley and think he’ll bring a lot to the character.
