Ahead of what is sure to be an insane box office draw by Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, director Michael Bay took some time out to answer a few questions about the film. A special IMAX screening took place on Thu evening at the National Air and Space Museum in Virginia, with a bad-ass SR-71 Blackbird serving as the background to the conversation. That model of plane actually has a role in the film, and a number of scenes were filmed in the museum.

As for Bay, let me just say the man is a pimp. Not only does he get to make some of the most action-packed films around, but he arrived at the press conference in his private plane, which parked at the museum. Sitting in the massive hanger that is the building, we could hear the whir from the aircraft as he pulled up.

The conference itself wasn’t as impressive, however. As you’ll see in the video, the affair was rather flat. And while I obviously thought the film was pretty bad, I still enjoyed it to a degree, so it was great to finally meet the man in person. This isn’t the whole conference, but rather about the first ten minutes. Enjoy!
